We have played World of Warcraft since beta (Around september 2004) and fell in love with the game almost instantly. Perhaps the word addiction might be appropriate.

It would seem that we were not alone in our love for the World of Warcraft, now with six million addicts and counting. Back in those early days, before that fateful November day when WoW was officially released, there was a major uproar on the message boards when the end of beta was announced.

We read page after page of complaints about how the game wasn't ready and how no one would pay for a game in this state, and in response we wrote Beta is Over. The real issue was that these people realized the Free game was going away, and now if they wanted to play the game they were addicted to they were going to have to shell out fifteen dollars a month.
